Mental Health Accommodation for RTW

Type: Half-day or Full-day Workshop.

Audience: Employees of all levels.


Any industries including manufacturing, government, education, healthcare, engineering & sciences, technology, not-for-profit, financial (banking and insurance)


This hands-on workshop follows the Mental Health RTW workshop and provides a deeper dive into mental health accommodation in the workplace. Participants will learn about frequently encountered mental health accommodation needs, and a collective problem-solving process, and will have the opportunity to solve an existing accommodation scenario in their own workplace. This workshop provides take-away tools that participants can use immediately in their own workplace.

What will you learn?

  • Learn about your responsibilities relating to mental health accommodation.
  • The facilitator will provide real examples of mental health accommodations that were creative and successful.
  • Learn the various roles and responsibilities in the accommodation process: employer,
  • Supervisor, human resources, union, doctors, co-workers, and related experts.
  • You will solve case study examples using a collective problem-solving process to practice newly acquired skills.

This course is useful to equip supervisors and HR/OHS staff with skills to identify and provide mental health accommodation throughout any organization. The content is designed to be applied to any work environment.
